Hadi Mulyadi, S.Si, M.Si., on Monday, September 11, 2023.

The activities carried out at the MMP site, Kariangau, West Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, were also attended by Pangdam VI/Mulawarman, Major General Tri Budi Oetomo, SE, East Kalimantan Police Chief, Inspector General. Pol. Drs. Imam Sugianto, M.Si., Balikpapan Mayor, H. Rahmad Mas'ud, SE, ME, Founder of MMS Group Indonesia, Andrew Hidayat and management of MMS Group Indonesia (MSSGI), a number of representatives from PT PLN (Persero), representatives of EPC-ENFI contractors, representatives of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) as well as directors of Murni Perkasa Partners (MMP).

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang said the Government continues to support efforts to grow domestic industries, especially the smelter industry in the context of downstreaming industries in Indonesia. The Ministry of Industry will certainly provide full support to PT MMP, so that all PT MMP activities can run immediately according to plan.

The arrears of the construction of the MMP nickel smelter since 2020 have gone through a feasibility study process, land preparation, electricity supply cooperation agreement with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero), and the construction of a jetty facility under construction by PT PP (Persero).

The MMP has also signed a Engineering contract, Procurement and Construction (EPC) together with China ENFI on July 12, 2023, in Jakarta.

The construction of the MMP nickel smelter project is projected to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2024. This smelter produces 27,800 tons of nickeljare per year with a nickel level of 78% to support the industry's clarification and development of the national battery industry.

Functional testing in conditions without the load of the MMP nickel smelter is planned to be carried out by the end of 2024. Meanwhile, thorough testing of the production and product processes produced until the peak load is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.
