There Is A Role In The State Budget At The Jabodebek LRT, Sri Mulyani Invites The Community To Take Care Of It Together

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani on the day had the opportunity to try the first public transportation facility for the Jabodebek LRT with the Head of State and a number of cabinet ministers.

In his explanation, the Minister of Finance revealed that the Jabodebek LRT will cover 6 service routes with a total track length of about 84 kilometers built in 2 stages.

"This morning Mr. President Jokowi inaugurated phase 1 (first) covering 3 service routes and connected the Cibubur, East Bekasi and Dukuh Atas areas," he said in a written statement, Monday, August 28.

The Minister of Finance explained that Jakarta and surrounding cities, such as Bogor Bekasi Depok and Tangerang, are among the largest urban areas in the world with very high population mobility. Therefore, this capital's satellite area often poses challenges to congestion and pollution.

"The mass transportation facility is a must and a necessity that cannot be negotiated," he stressed.

Furthermore, the Minister of Finance revealed that the source of funding for the Jabodebek LRT also came from state financial instruments. On that basis, he invited the public to be more concerned with public facilities that belong to each other.

"Let's continue to build Indonesia - including mass transportation facilities. Let's maintain and maintain it and use it for the common good. The state budget is here in the form of guarantees for PT KAI's loan for development, PMN and PSO support for passenger subsidies.
