JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) opens up opportunities for the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road Sections 3 and 4 project to be taken over by other BUMN Karya, in addition to Waskita Karya.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra S Atmawidjaja said there are two options that can be used to continue the National Strategic Project (PSN).

"Section 3 has several options. The option will continue with Waskita, but there are other investors who come in to participate in building Section 3," Endra said when met in the Bogor area, West Java, Tuesday, August 8.

"I heard, right, there is SMI who is interested there, maybe there are others too," he added.

Endra said that the second option was the completion of the Bocimi Toll Road project through the State Capital Participation (PMN) which was entrusted to PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

"The PMN is to HK. Right, it is entrusted via HK, later HK will also carry out construction up to Section 4, but what is available is only up to Section 3 which is approximately IDR 2.5 trillion," he said.

Furthermore, Endra admitted, Section 4 of the project area is not ready and is still in the process of being acquired. "Seksi 4, the land is not ready yet. This means that if it reaches 2024 Section 3 first, it will be 86 percent. So, we are optimistic that by the end of 2024 it will be finished, from Cibadak to West Sukabumi," he said.

The Bocimi Toll Road itself has a total length of 54 kilometers (km) and is divided into four sections.

The details are Section 1 Ciawi-Cigombong with a length of 15.35 km, Section 2 Cigombong-Cibadak with a length of 11.9 km, Section 3 Cibadak-West Sukabumi with a length of 13.70 km, and Section 4 West Sukabumi-East Sukabumi with a length of 13.05 km.
