Lapindo How Are You? Ministry Of Finance Says There Are Still Arrears Of IDR 2 Trillion

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) through the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) confirmed that PT Lapindo Brantas Inc and PT Lapindo Minarak Jaya (LMJ) still have debts to the state with a value of around Rp. 2 trillion.

"The amount is IDR 2 trillion," he said on Tuesday, June 20.

According to Rionald, the government, in this case the Ministry of Finance, has followed up to be able to solve the problem.

"We have carried out a correspondence process (with Lapindo). In the letter we collect it, but the person concerned conveyed the arguments," he said.

Because it is considered to have experienced a dead end by the Ministry of Finance through DJKN, then took the initiative to forward the existing problems to the State Receivables Affairs Committee (PUPN).

"We think this should be handed over to the State Receivables Affairs Committee, so that later the Jakarta branch of PUPN will take authority," said Sri Mulyani's subordinates.

Based on information compiled by the editors, the audit conducted by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in 2019 noted that PT Lapindo Brantas Inc and PT Lapindo Minarak Jaya had an obligation to the state of IDR 1.91 trillion.

This amount consists of principal debt of Rp. 773.38 billion, interest of Rp. 163.95 billion, and a fine of Rp. 981.42 billion.
