JAKARTA - The Ministry of PUPR said that the progress of infrastructure for the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has reached more than 20 percent, to date.
"Now, the progress of all infrastructure on aggregate is 22 percent," said PUPR Ministry Spokesperson Endra S Atmawidjaja to reporters in Jakarta, Friday, May 26.
Endra said, there were around Rp32 trillion packages that had been contracted in the infrastructure development.
"This means that from all infrastructure on an aggregate basis, right, it will continue to grow, yes, packages that are contracted," he said.
According to Endra, with the development of IKN infrastructure which has started to reach 22 percent progress, it will attract many investors from the private sector in the future.
"Oh, this shape has been seen, in its form, we hope that this can attract private (investment) to enter (to the development of IKN). It is impossible for the private sector to enter first without any government investment," he said.
Previously, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM revealed a number of sectors that are most interested in potential investors in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, where infrastructure and trade and services occupy the top two positions.
Deputy for Climate Development for Investment, BKPM Yuliot, said that the latest potential investor who has expressed interest in the form of letter of interest (LoI) is an investor from Japan.
"The investment interest submitted (LoI) in IKN is around 220, there was an addition of about 24 from Japan. Of course, this is based on the data we have from investment details," Yuliot said at the Government Regulation Socialization event Number 12 of 2023 in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 23.
