JAKARTA PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk boosted mortgage growth by providing a special margin of 3.1 percent until June 30, 2023.

The company is targeting KPR's business growth to double this year.

Head of Consumer Financing Business Bank Muamalat Agung Bayu Sulistiono said the provision of special margins i was also for the company's 31st anniversary.

"In general, consumer financing is targeted to grow by more than 130 percent by the end of 2023 where mortgages become one of the mainstay businesses," he told the media, Friday, May 19.

As of March 31, 2023, Bank Muamalat's new mortgage business financing grew 375 percent compared to the same period last year.

"We provide incentives in the form of special margins as a form of the company's commitment to facilitating access to home financing for the community at competitive prices. We are optimistic that this initiative will provide stimulus for the property sector and help people realize their dream of having decent housing," he said.

In order to pursue the business growth target, he said, Bank Muamalat built consumer processing centers (CPC) in six cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Makassar.

The existence of this CPC is expected to increase the fulfillment of service levels agreement (SLA) which will ultimately accelerate the process of applying for financing while ensuring good quality.

Bank Muamalat has a superior product named KPR Hijrah, namely financing products for residential housing ownership including for renovation and takeover from other banks, especially for customers who want the financing to be carried out based on sharia principles.

"The advantages of Hijrah mortgage products at Bank Muamalat include light down payment ranging from 0 percent, large installments or installments are definite and financing is flexible and adjusted to customer needs," he continued.

In addition to taking over financing, customers can also add (top up) financing.

The top up funds can be used for consumptive purposes such as house renovations, purchasing home furniture, or purchasing other necessities.
