Bank Muamalat Holds Exciting Blessing Program, Optimistic That Transaction Volume Increases

PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk held a program with Muamalat Blessings for customers who use the Shar-E Debit Muamalat card.

Bank Muamalat President Director Indra Falatehan said this program is expected to encourage an increase in Shar-E Debit Muamalat card transactions.

The number of Shar-E Debit Muamalat card transactions as of April 2023 was 409,510 transactions with 92 percent of transactions through EDC machines and 8 percent of online.

We continue to innovate and improve features on debit cards. One of them is that it can be used for online transactions. Therefore, through this program, we are optimistic that the volume and number of debit card transactions can increase," he said, quoted on Saturday, May 13.

Indra added, all Bank Muamalat customers who have an account connected to the Shar-E Debit Muamalat card and mobile banking Muamalat DIN, except for Bank Muamalat customers from the Kuala Lumpur branch, can participate in this program.

"The program period starts from May 1 to October 31, 2023," added Indra.

He further explained that Bank Muamalat debit cards in addition to being able to be used for offline transactions through EDC merchants and online (e-commerce and online shops) as well as cash withdrawals across VISA networks at home and abroad.

The security feature in the online debit of the Shar-E card has been certified by VISA (Verified by VISA Secure Code).

The transaction security in this feature uses 3D Secure technology with One Time Password (OTP) validation in the form of a 6-digit PIN sent via SMS. OTP's goal is to ensure transaction security between merchants and customers as if they are transacting face-to-face.
