LABUAN BAJO - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo ensured the readiness of 100 percent electricity reliability at all locations for the 42nd ASEAN Summit (KTT) in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.

PLN also ensured that the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) for the charging of delegates' vehicles was 100 percent ready.

"Earlier I checked the venue and SPKLU. I can confirm that today all electricity infrastructure to support the ASEAN Summit is 100 percent ready to be used," Darmawan said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 6.

Darmawan has checked all electricity infrastructure starting from networks and electrical substations, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), SPKLU, to rooms that will be used by the Head of State of ASEAN later.

Like other international activities that have been held in Indonesia, PLN has also implemented an electricity scheme without flickering or Zero Down Time (ZDT) through layered supply at the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

The ZDT scheme is applied specifically to priority venues such as Hotel Meruorah Komodo, Ayana Resort, Hotel Laprima, Sudamala Resort Komodo, Plataran Komodo Hotel, MICE Tanamori, Komodo Airport, Hotel Sylvia, Puncak Waringin, media center, and other supporting facilities locations.

Furthermore, PLN has also provided 108 SPKLUs to meet the electricity needs for 271 vehicles.

According to him, the presence of SPKLU at the 42nd ASEAN Summit is very important because the mobilization of all delegates, security, and operations will use electric vehicles.

"All SPKLUs are ready. For operations we will continue to coordinate, especially with Paspampres in regulating the implementation of electric vehicle charging," said Darmawan.

Dalam salah satu agenda kunjungannya, Darmawan telah bertemu dengan Bupati Manggarai Barat Edistasius Endi di Kantor Bupati Manggarai Barat.

Darmawan also expressed his appreciation for the collaboration that has been going well between PLN and the West Manggarai Regency Government in preparing electricity infrastructure to support the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.

"We are very grateful to the West Manggarai Regency Government for working hand in hand with PLN to make this ASEAN Summit a success, one of which is in providing land for electricity equipment and SPKLU in the regent's office yard," he explained.

The 42nd ASEAN Summit is scheduled to take place from May 9 to May 11, 2023, which was preceded by the presence of ASEAN heads of state and delegation guests.
