PLN Boss Distributes Tips For Houses To Avoid Fires When Left Behind For Eid Homecoming

PT PLN (Persero) appealed to the public to ensure that electricity at home is safe during Eid homecoming.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo reminded travelers to pay attention to installation security in order to prevent unwanted things such as electrical short circuits.

"When the Eid homecoming time arrives and all family members have to leave the house, the community needs to ensure the safety of the electrical installation," said Darmawan.

For this reason, Darmawan shared tips so that electricity is safe during Eid 1444 H homecoming:

1. Check the electrical connection. If there is any electronic equipment that is not needed, immediately remove it from the socket.

2. For postpaid customers, pay for electricity at the beginning of the month or before the 20th to make it more comfortable and avoid termination. For prepaid customers, fill in enough electricity tokens and prepare backups if needed to keep the electricity on, especially for lighting.

3. Check the electrical installation in the house before going home. Especially if there is a short circuit frequently. Try with the help of the registered installation.

4. If the electricity at home is not sufficient, immediately add official power to PLN using the added promo for Ramadan 2023.

5. Report to the local RT and RW, as well as entrust the house to your closest neighbors who do not go home for Eid.

"We appeal to the entire community to carry out electrical checks before going home, so that homecoming is safe and comfortable," added Darmawan.
