West Java Becomes The Region In Pantura With The Highest Level Of Implementation

JAKARTA - The Ministry of PUPR revealed that the condition of road availability on the Pantura route in West Java was the highest compared to other regions, reaching 99.04 percent, this year.

"We report that the condition of the West Java Pantura road is quite good, namely 99.04 percent," said Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian in an RDP with Commission V DPR RI in Jakarta, on Wednesday, April 12.

Hedy said that the budget allocation for the West Java region was not too high this year. This is because the progress of the road is quite good.

"If we look at this from the budget allocation, we see that in West Java this year a budget of Rp. 302 billion is allocated, (the funds) are not too high because the absorption (of the road) is quite good, so it is part of our optimization," he said.

Previously, the Ministry of PUPR said that the absorption of roads on the North Coast Line (Pantura) had reached 96.15 percent.

Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian said the Pantura Line referred to by Bina Marga is a road from Merak to Banyuwangi, with a total length of 1,716 km.

"So, we again convey the meaning of the 96.15 percent application, which is that there are almost four percent of roads in Pantura that are damaged, so if percent I think from 1,716 km, around 600-700 km of roads are problematic," said Hedy in the RDP with Commission V DPR RI in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 12.

Hedy said, there are four regions that are included in the Pantura route, including Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java.

For Pantura Banten itself, he said, the condition of the road's stability has reached 96.91 percent. "That is still below the peak of the determination we have achieved in 2019, which is 98.99 percent," he said.

Then, for the Pantura of West Java, the road was quite good, reaching 99.04 percent. "Then, Central Java had 97 percent safety and currently 89 percent," said Hedy.

Finally, namely the East Java Pantura, continued Hedy, consistently increasing the condition of the road's stability, which is in 97.66 percent position at this time.
