Sri Mulyani Blusukan To Soekarno-Hatta Customs, Ensure Readiness Ahead Of Eid

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani is known to have conducted a field inspection of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Customs and Excise in order to check the readiness of her staff ahead of the peak period of Eid Al-Fitr 2023.

Accompanied by the Director General of Customs and Excise Askolani, the Minister of Finance seems to be reviewing all aspects of readiness from upstream to downstream. Such as in the passenger baggage service process, passenger lanes to the green and red line, inspection of goods through X-rays, IMEI services, to passenger profiling.

"I am very happy to see the increasing and more mature readiness of Customs and Excise officers in providing customs and excise services. I also make sure that all services provided are in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he said in a written statement on Monday, April 10.

The state treasurer also appears to build effective communication to the officers on guard in the field as well as encourage them to continue to work professionally.

"I would like to express my gratitude for the readiness of all Customs and Excise levels. Keep professionalism and provide the best service to the community. Let's take care of the community's trust in Customs and Excise and the Ministry of Finance," he said.

Previously, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise had been in the spotlight because its employees often displayed assets on social media. In addition, the echelon I work unit Sri Mulyani is also considered by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD as one of the agencies that is the source of the decline in the corruption perception index in Indonesia.
