JAKARTA - Head of the Nusantara State Capital Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono said that so far he has received more than 100 initial commitment documents or letter of intent (LoI) for investment in the new capital city.

The investors came from within the country and 16 foreign countries.

Bambang said, of that amount, it is still necessary to conduct an examination. Moreover, investors also need to conduct a feasibility study to be able to invest in IKN.

"We received quite a lot of letter of interest, there are 167 from around 16 countries," said Bambang at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Monday, April 3.

He said that later there would be a selection process to determine which investors were appropriate and serious in submitting applications to participate in building at IKN.

"Investors who are interested consist of various fields, such as housing, hospitals, to education from elementary school (SD) to higher education," said Bambang.

"50 percent (investors) are domestic and the other 50 percent are foreign," he added.

As for now, said Bambang, the construction of various infrastructure facilities at IKN is still running according to schedule.

Previously, there were two new national investors who had received letter to proceeds or Project Prekarsa Permit (SIPP) from the IKN Authority to build the residence of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the archipelago, namely the consortium PT Perintis Triniti Properti Tbk (Konsorsium Triniti) and PT Nindya Karya (Persero).

The Triniti consortium invested IDR 1.8 trillion to work on seven towers and Nindya Karya disbursed an investment of IDR 1.42 trillion to build eight towers.

There are also three other investors who have received SIPP, namely PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, Konsortium Nusantara (RBN CCFG), and Korean Land and Housing Corporation (KLHC). The investors are targeted to be able to complete their work in 2024.

The need for ASN housing itself until 2024 is known to be able to accommodate 16,990 people and will continue to grow every year. Therefore, investment opportunities in ASN housing are still very open.
