JAKARTA - Passengers on international Garuda Indonesia routes, especially first class, business class, and members of GarudaMiles Platinum will receive immigration special lane services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Bali.

The service is a collaboration between Garuda Indonesia and the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Special lanes at the two airports have also been operating starting today, Thursday, March 30," said Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra in an official statement, Thursday, March 30.

Irfan said, in the special lane service flow, first class passengers, business class, and members of GarudaMiles Platinum will be given a sign card.

"Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia's Passenger Service Assistance (PSA) will direct passengers to a special immigration check counter," he said.

Furthermore, Irfan said that the presence of special lane services for the immigration process was one of Garuda Indonesia's ongoing initiatives as a national flag that was presented to improve the quality of seamless journey for Garuda service users by end-to-end.

"This is in line with the trend of flights that are starting to grow significantly," he said.

Irfan hopes that the immigration special lane service, which has been officially implemented today, can become an improvement of services that are increasingly seamless and add comfort to the community of service users and foreign tourists.

"Of course we would like to express our appreciation to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia for the collaboration that has been established," he said.

"As well as ongoing support from other airport stakeholders for Garuda Indonesia's steps to continue to provide more service value to all service users, especially at our two touch points, namely the pre-flight and post-flight processes," continued Irfan.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Immigration at the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Silmy Karim, said that this collaboration was a manifestation of positive collaboration between stakeholders in improving services to the community.

Silmy said it was possible that there would be other cooperation, or maybe future service development.

"This ecosystem that we must maintain and build, so that the synergy between institutions can produce added value in all sectors that are beneficial to the community. This is in line with one of the functions of Immigration, namely community welfare development facilitators," said Silmy.

Furthermore, Silmy hopes that the signing of this cooperation will be able to attract more quality foreigners to visit Indonesia so that it can move the nation's economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We together with Garuda Indonesia will also socialize the various visas that we provide to foreigners, starting from Visa tourist visits, electronic Visa on Arrival, pre-investment visas, and in the near future we will launch Golden Visa which can be utilized properly by quality foreigners," concluded Silmy.
