Angkasa Pura I Serves 4.8 Million Passengers Throughout February 2023

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I noted that it has served 4,844,411 passengers at 15 airports managed throughout February 2023.

This number increased by 87 percent compared to passenger movements in the February 2022 period of 2,586,503 passengers.

President Director of Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said the movement of passengers and planes has continued to show a positive trend since early 2023.

"We are grateful that our efforts to recover performance through the company's performance and operational transformation are reflected in the growth of Angkasa Pura I traffic. We hope that this trend will continue throughout the year and forward," said Faik, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 20.

Angkasa Pura I noted that growth also occurred in aircraft movements in February 2023 with a total of 41,589 movements or grew by 36 percent compared to the number of February 2022 which was 30,646 movements.

As for cargo traffic, Angkasa Pura I served 34,444 tons of cargo in the February 2023 period, down 1 percent compared to February 2022 cargo traffic of 34,874 tons.

With the additional number of passengers in February, Angkasa Pura I recorded that it had served 10,121,153 passengers in the first two months of 2023.

This number grew by 66 percent compared to the number of passenger movements in the same period in 2022 as many as 6,084,055 passenger movements.

For aircraft movements, 87,671 movements were served in the January-February 2023 period or grew by 31 percent compared to the number of aircraft movements for the January-February 2022 period which was 67,162 movements.

As for cargo movements, as many as 71,975 tons of cargo were served in January-February 2023, there was a decrease of 3 percent compared to records in the same period last year with the total cargo served at 74,233 tons.

Next in the January-February 2023 period, Angkasa Pura I informed that the largest number of passenger movements was at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with 2,933,216 movements, with details of 1,367,817 domestic passenger movements, 1,488,929 international passenger movements, and 76,470 domestic transit passenger movements.

In second place, namely Juanda Airport Surabaya with 2,101,995 movements, with details of 1,653,571 passenger movements on domestic routes, 326,373 passenger movements on international routes, and 122,051 domestic transit passenger movements.

The third is Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 1,623,556 movements, with details of 1,180,080 passenger movements on domestic routes, 74,208 passenger movements on international routes, and 369,268 domestic transit passenger movements.
