Train Tickets For Lebaran 2023 Homecoming Only 30.9 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the sale of long-distance train tickets (KA) for Lebaran 2023 only reached 30.9 percent or 642,281 seats out of the total prepared by the company.

The long-distance train ticket sales are for the departure period from April 12 to April 28.

KAI's VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said the total ticket provided by KAI for Lebaran 2023 homecoming was 2,075,594 tickets.

Joni said, the number of ticket sales will continue to move.

"The number will still increase, because sales are still ongoing," he said in a statement received by VOI, Tuesday, March 14.

Joni said that the favorite relationship so far is that the period before Lebaran is dominated by passengers from the West (Jakarta or Bandung) towards the East (Central Java and East Java).

"For the period after Lebaran, passengers from the East (Central Java or East Java) aredomized towards the West (Jakarta or Bandung)," he explained.

Adapun perjalanan KA yang masuk lima besar dalam okupansi yang telah dipesan di antaranya KA Airlangga 100 persen; KA Kahuripan 94,14 persen; KA Bengawan 88,77 persen; KA Sri Tanjung 80,67 persen dan KA Probowangi 58,18 persen.

Meanwhile, based on the date of departure, the favorite trains were ordered, including April 20, 2023 as much as 56 percent; April 21, 2023 as much as 53 percent; and April 19, 2023 to 47 percent.

"KAI hopes that the community can plan their journey well because the train tickets for the Eid Transport period are still quite widely available," concluded Joni.
