JAKARTA - The Pahind startup has received Series A funding from investors for business development, after launching various features that make it easier for the public to fulfill their tax obligations.

"Of course we are grateful for the trust of these investors. We will use the disbursement of funds from investors to develop a research and development division so that the taxation features are increasingly applicative to the needs of taxpayers," said the CEO of Taxaind, Muhammad Arif Rohman Said Putra, in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 13.

Startup Taxind was founded by Muhammad Arif Rohman Said Putra as CEO and Sony Surya Wijaya as CTO with the aim of making it easier for people from all over Indonesia to fulfill their tax obligations.

Taxind is the first domestic startup in the field of taxation based on mobile applications with more than 650 thousand users spread throughout the country.

Arif assessed that Indonesia's tax ratio is still relatively low when compared to other middle-income countries.

This condition is not only because people are reluctant, but sometimes they have difficulty fulfilling their tax obligations, either due to limited time or understanding.

"So here the presence of the Taxind application has strategic value to help taxpayers fulfill their obligations so that indirectly it will increase Indonesia's tax ratio," he said.

Arif revealed that Taxation has features that can help the public or taxpayers understand and fulfill their tax obligations. Starting from the latest tax news, simulations of calculating income tax (PPh) Article 21 and import taxes, to updating exchange rates every week according to PMK.

In addition, Taxind also provides features for making e-Billing to pay taxes, and online consultation via chat or video calls with experienced tax consultants.

Taxind will also continue to improve service quality by collaborating with various parties, including government agencies, business entities, and fellow application providers. Taxind has also collaborated with various partners in the financial sector such as Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).

A number of new features will also be launched soon, including registration of Taxpayer Basic Numbers (NPWP) and NPWP verification.
