Make Sure The 2023 Eid Homecoming Is Safe, PLN Will Massive The Development Of SPBKLU

JAKARTA - PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said PLN would build 1,000 units of Public Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Stations (SPBKLU) to support the smooth homecoming in 2023 with electric vehicles.

"PLN will continue to support all government programs to accelerate the electric vehicle ecosystem. In the future, PLN will continue to encourage the development of SPBKLU in other cities, so that all people can use it," Darmawan said at a press conference in Jakarta, quoted Monday, March 13.

Darmawan added, if this SPBKLU will later be available on the homecoming route such as rest area.

Meanwhile, for non-toll roads, PLN will also map the areas where SPBKLU will be installed so that going home with an electric vehicle will be easier.

"If on non-toll roads, we have also built a mapping so that in the future it can be via toll roads or not via toll roads," he continued.

Darmawan said that PLN had also checked as well as attempted the 2022 homecoming using electric vehicles.

The three charging station infrastructures are available from Jakarta, Cirebon, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Banyuwangi, to Bali.

Just so you know, up to now as many as 616 SPBKLU units are available for use by electric car owners and 1,056 SPBKLU units are available throughout Indonesia to be used by electric motorcycle owners.

PLN cooperates with various parties to accelerate the development of SPBKLU in all corners of the country.

PLN also operates a Public Electricity Charging Station (SPLU) which can be used by people who have small businesses and electric motorcyclists with a mounted charging type.

PLN currently operates 6,705 SPLUs throughout Indonesia with a total installed power of 35.3 MVA.

"Especially in Jakarta, we operate 2,995 SPLU which can be used at any time by two-wheeled riders. So we not only prepare battery exchange stations, but electric motorbikes owned by residents can charge at this SPLU," said Darmawan.
