JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) has started the electricity supply (energy) for the 150 KV Bantaeng switching Line Bay Hengsheng substation in South Sulawesi. The available capacity reaches 31.5 MW.
"The operation of GI 150 Kv Bantaeng to serve the electricity needs of PT Hengsheng New Energy's High Voltage Consumer (KTT) which is included in PT Huadi Group," said General Manager of PLN Sulawesi UIP Development Main Unit, Defiar Anis in a written statement received in Kendari, Sunday.
GI 150 kV Bantaeng Switching located in Papanloe Village, Pajukukang District, Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi managed to energize on March 7, 2023 after passing a series of tests and obtaining Voltage Decent Recommendations (RLB) on March 6, 2023.
Defiar Anis said the GI 150 kV Bantaeng Switching Line Bay Hengsheng voltage was a form of PLN's support in encouraging the downstreaming of the smelter industry in Sulawesi.
"The success of the energy substation in the direction of Hengsheng is a form of PLN's commitment to providing electricity infrastructure to serve the electricity needs of KTT customers in Sulawesi," said Anis.
President Director of PT Huadi Nickel Alloy Indonesia, Jos Stefan Hideky, expressed his gratitude to PLN for supporting the smelter industry through the provision of reliable and quality electricity.
"Our decision to synergize with PLN in providing electricity supply smelters is the right decision because until now the electricity supply for Huadi distributed by PLN has reached a total of 310 MVA, for that we thank PLN," he said.
