JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api (Persero) or KAI recorded long-distance train tickets for Lebaran 2023 Transportation which had sold 498,790 seats per day.

The tickets sold were for train departures in the period 12 to 26 April 2023.

VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said 31.3 percent of the total tickets provided were 1,593,934 tickets.

"The number will still increase, because sales are still ongoing," he said in a statement to VOI, Sunday, March 12.

Joni said the favorite route so far is from Jakarta or West Java to Central Java and East Java or better known as homecoming.

"So far, the favorite relaxations are Jakarta-Yogyakarta pp, Jakarta-Solo pp, Jakarta-Surabaya pp, Jakarta-Purwokerto pp, Bandung-Blitar pp, and others," he explained.

The top five train trips included in the occupancy that have been ordered include the Airlangga train as much as 100 percent; Kahuripan train as much as 100 percent; Bengawan train as much as 95.63 percent; Sritanjung train as much as 85.48 percent; and Serayu train as much as 61.12 percent.

Meanwhile, based on the date of departure, the favorite trains were ordered, including April 20, 2023 as much as 56 percent; April 21, 2023 as much as 52 percent; and April 19, 2023 as much as 47 percent.

"KAI hopes that the community can plan their journey well because the train tickets for the Eid Transport period are still quite widely available," he said.
