Minister Of SOEs Ends New Cases In The Financial Sector

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir held a meeting with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin at the Attorney General's Office (AGO), Jakarta. During the meeting, Erick said that there was one discovery of a new case to be processed and investigated immediately by the AGO. Even so, Erick has not been able to divulge the findings of the new case.

"Based on the findings (new cases), of course there are things that must be taken into account and followed up. The case is in an in-depth investigation, today does not want to talk," said Erick at the AGO's office, Jakarta, Monday, March 6.

On the same occasion, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin said the findings of the new case were very interesting and an investigation would soon be carried out by his party.

"We are still deepening (the case), later when it is fixed (will) be submitted to friends (media)," said ST Burhanuddin.

He emphasized that if it had been deepened, the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) and the Deputy Minister of SOEs would immediately convey it to the public.

"We don't want to tell you about this case first, because (we don't want it to be conveyed now) this case in the end doesn't exist. Later, Jampidsus and Deputy Minister (who conveyed it)," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) Ketut Sumedana said the new cases that would be deepened by his party were in the financial sector. "This case is quite interesting, in the financial sector," he added.

For your information, the AGO has just handed over the management of Jiwasraya's assets which are confiscated items to the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

The handover ceremony was attended by Indonesian Attorney General ST Burhanuddin and SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
