JAKARTA - Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati ensured that the fuel oil (BBM) supply was safe amid a fire incident at Pertamina Plumpang Depot, North Jakarta.
Pertamina also ensures that fuel supplies remain safe with back up supply from the nearest terminal, namely the Tanjung Gerem, Cikampek, and Ujung Berung fuel terminals.
"The fuel supply was also secured through support from the Cilacap and Balongan refineries which were greeted by sea to TBBM Tanjung Priuk," said Nicke Widyawati in a statement to the media, Friday, March 3.
On the same occasion, Nicke also expressed her deep sadness and apology for this incident.
"Pertamina will provide the best handling for affected communities," explained Nicke.
He said Pertamina was focusing on dealing with this incident and prioritizing extinguishing and evacuating residents around the location.
Pertamina also formed a joint team with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga and related functions to investigate the cause of tonight's incident.
"We will evaluate and reflect thoroughly internally in order to avoid similar incidents from happening again," concluded Nicke.
