Sri Mulyani Unloads CT Employee Salaries Bigger Than The Director General Of Taxes, Here's The Figure

JAKARTA Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani continues to encourage a reasonable lifestyle to her staff, especially for employees at the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP).

According to him, it is important to still be able to gain the trust of the community in managing state finances.

This statement was made by Sri Mulyani in response to the public spotlight regarding the polemic wealth of tax civil servants which was quite large.

In fact, Sri Mulyani even confirmed directly to the Director General (Dirjen) of Tax Suryo Utomo regarding the reasonableness of his assets.

"I asked the Director General of Taxes, are you sure you are right? Are you sure," he said during a discussion with entrepreneur Chairul Tanjung in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 28.

The Minister of Finance realized that the management of tax money of around Rp. 1,700 trillion per year is quite vulnerable to causing a sloping perspective from the public.

Therefore, he will continue to prioritize performance with integrity and transparency in managing people's money.

"Do we take the Rp1,700 trillion? Yes, no. (Malah) the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance and the President Director (Director) of Bank Mega, the salary is definitely more at Bank Mega," said the Minister of Finance.

Responding to this, CT, Chairul Tanjung's nickname, then replied by issuing a statement that was quite intriguing.

"You can't listen to the President Director of Bank Mega, he said his salary is big," said CT, which was then greeted with laughter from the discussion participants present.

In VOI's search, it is known that the value of remuneration (paid, bonus, routine allowances, bonuses, and other facilities in the form of non-natural) of Bank Mega's Board of Directors in 2022 is recorded at more than IDR 2 billion per year.

The highest ratio of the board of directors' salary with the lowest directors is 2.98: 1.

Meanwhile, Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo, who is often referred to as a civil servant with the highest salary in Indonesia, is IDR 117 million (including allowances).

If this figure is multiplied by 12 months, then the tax boss's income is only IDR 1.4 billion.

This means that the statement by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani regarding the President Director of Bank Mega, whose salary is greater than that of the Director General of Taxes, can be confirmed.
