Development Of Ngaret, Traders Request To Revitalize Cibitung Main Market Accelerate

JAKARTA - The construction of the Cibitung Main Market Revitalization project, Bekasi Regency, West Java, has been asked to be accelerated. This is a request from local market traders.

The Cibitung Main Market Traders asked to immediately occupy a new stall following the halt in development over the past two months due to the internal conflict of the auction-winning company.

"Hopefully after the construction of the second phase of the Cibitung Main Market is completed, traders can immediately move to the stalls that have been provided by the management," said Cibitung Main Market Citizens' Secretary Ahmad, Cibitung, quoting Antara, Saturday, February 18.

He said that so far thousands of Cibitung Main Market traders have been forced to sell in temporary shelters which are considered less representative, resulting in a drastic decline in their sales turnover.

He hopes that the market development company as a partner of the local government as well as a market manager will immediately realize the transfer to the new stall which is almost finished construction.

Market managers are also asked to tidy up and organize road markings as well as directional instructions, garbage collection, security, parking bags, to street lighting.

According to him, it is important to organize the market so that buyers and traders feel safe and comfortable when making buying and selling transactions in the largest market in Bekasi Regency.

Vegetable traders at the Cibitung Nasir Main Market welcome the plan to accelerate market development considering that vegetable traders and fruits already feel bored selling in temporary shelters.

"Hopefully it will be finished soon and provide good benefits for the traders. So sales turnover can increase again as before," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of PT Citra Prasasti Konsorindo (Cipako) Bekasi District Branch Muchtar appreciated the local government for the trust and good cooperation so far.

"Without good cooperation with all parties, the Cibitung Main Market development process will not run smoothly. Even though there are parties who do not like it, thank God everything can go well," he said.

His party also ensured that the future market construction would be fully implemented by PT Cipako Bekasi Regency Branch after the head of the Sampang Branch company was officially disbanded through decree number 003/CPK/XII/2012.

The letter contains the decision of the president director with the approval of the Commissioner of PT Citra Prasasti Konsorindo regarding the dismissal of the Sampang Branch leader as well as the revocation of the deed of establishment of the Sampang Branch dated December 1, 2022.

"So from now on the construction is fully carried out by PT Cipako Bekasi Regency Branch. Sampang Branch can no longer continue work due to default during development activities," he said.

It is known that the Cibitung Main Market is the center for buying and selling the needs of vegetables and fruits as well as supplying the needs of the people of Bekasi to Jabodebek and its surroundings.
