Waskita Beton Precast Wins New Contracts Of IDR 1.53 Trillion Throughout 2022

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) managed to book a new contract value of up to IDR 1.53 trillion.

The acquisition of the value of this new contract came from several projects both from the Waskita Group (internal market) as well as BUMN, Government, and Private projects (external market).

WSBP Director of Engineering & Development, Bambang Dwi Wijayanto stated, the majority of contract acquisitions came from the internal market by 68 percent and 32 percent externally. WSBP also recorded a tender win rate of 29 percent from the auction process it participated in.

The various projects include the Tebing Tinggi - Serbelawan Toll Road project section 4, the Pertahanan University Campus construction services project Phase 1, the Kamal - Teluk Naga - Balaraja Toll Road project, and the Kayu Agung - Palembang - Betung Toll Road project.

"In 2022, we will focus and be selective in finding projects that have good sources of payment and with a level of risk that is appropriate for WSBP," said Bambang in a written statement, Monday, 13 February.

This strategy is also supported by a positive equity record of IDR 2.3 trillion. "A good capital structure will support WSBP in participating in the new contract tender process," added Bambang.

Armed with the achievements in 2022, Management is optimistic that in 2023 the company's performance will increase from several precast, ready mix, or construction service business lines. "We are targeting the growth of new contracts to be above 50% of the 2022 target," explained Bambang.

Management will also focus on developing a strategy to obtain new contracts by increasing market share outside the Waskita Group and exploring foreign markets, especially in the Southeast Asian region, while still prioritizing healthy project funding conditions.

For information, the achievements of overseas projects from 2021 to 2022 include the road project from Tono-Noefefan Bridge to Oenuno do Oecusse in Timor Leste in the amount of IDR 7 billion and delivery of spunpile to the Shipyard Project in Myanmar amounting to IDR 15 billion. "With the acquisition of new contracts from overseas projects, this proves that WSBP can compete in the international market," concluded Bambang.
