Sido Muncul Provides Free Operations For 200 Cataric Patients In Cirebon

JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu Dan Pharmacy Sido Muncul, TBK again provides health services through free catahol operations for underprivileged communities in the Cirebon area and its surroundings. This time, Sido Muncul together with SPBK Perdami Pusat held a free operation for 200 patients with dwarfs at Permata Cirebon Hospital, on Thursday 4 February.

The assistance will symbolically be handed over by the Director of Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, to the President Director of Permata Cirebon Hospital, Dr. Reiza Nandhika, MARS, witnessed by the Head of Health Services, Dr. Diding Sarifudin, SKM, MKM, the board of directors of the hospital, and Dr. Dyana Theresia Watania, SpM(K) as the data coordinator of the Central Perdami SPBK.

"We last carried out catatric surgery social services at Bhyangkara TK II Sartika Asih Hospital in Bandung in December last year. This time with the Central Perdami SPBK, there were 200 patients who would take part in free dwarf operations. Prospective patients have undergone the screening process and were immediately operated on the same day. We welcome the collaboration with the Central Perdami SPBK and also the Cirebon Permata Hospital. We hope that it can help people with katrak to return to their activities," said Director of Sido Muncul Irwan Hidayat, in his statement, Thursday 9 February.

Irwan also added that the implementation of the Free Cataract Operation is Sido Muncul's commitment to improve public health, especially in the vision section. As of 2011 until now, Sido Muncul has operated more than 55,000 eyes throughout Indonesia.

"With this activity, I hope the number of people with dwarfs will be smaller, because if that person loses his vision, 50% of the quality of his life will be lost. Moreover, there are many dwarf problems and continue to grow every year. For that, our presence here is not only to help, but also to provide information that the dwarf can be cured only by surgery," said Irwan.

In addition to Free Cataract Operations, Sido Muncul also continues to be committed to increasing concern for the community by providing free cleft lip surgery in various regions in Indonesia.
