Bulog Rice Will Be Selled At Alfamart And Indomaret This Week

JAKARTA - The Public Company of the Logistics Affairs Agency (Perum Bulog) seeks to intensify the distribution of market operations or stabilization of Food Supply and Prices (SPHP) by involving modern retail networks.

This week, Bulog rice will be sold at Alfamart and Indomaret.

The President Director of Perum Bulog, Budi Waseso, said that Alfamart and Indomaret will be involved by the government in intensifying the distribution of market operations. This is because these two retailers have a large network and are very close to the community.

Indomaret, Alfamart is closer to the community and all of them are in Transmart, Hypermart and others have entered. So everything is scattered," he said during a visit to Hypermart Puri Indah, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8.

Meanwhile, Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi said that the involvement of modern retail in the distribution of market operations so that people also have a choice in buying rice.

Today, we added Hypermart, Ramayana, Indogrosir, Transmart retailers. Next, I ask Mr. Roy and my friends, Alafamart and Indomaret throughout Indonesia for the distribution of Bulog rice. So that people can choose please, "said Arief.

Arief said, even though modern retailers were involved in distributing Bulog's rice operations, it was confirmed that distribution to traditional markets would still be carried out.

"Bulog is medium rice with a retail price of Rp9,450 per kg, we are mixed starting from the traditional market first. So later no one can twist it too, he wants to go modern because Pak Arief has been from modern, no. So, we fulfill the number one traditional market," he explained.

On the same occasion, Chairman of the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) Roy Mandey said, following up on Bulog and Bapanas' wish, he was preparing Alafamart and Indomaret to be able to distribute Bulog rice.

Roy said, currently his party is still calculating the distribution of Alfamart and Indomaret retailers throughout Indonesia.

In this week, other retailers include Indomaret, Alfamart, whose network is also wider. This week it is hoped (to enter) because it is still calculated, because they are scattered everywhere, the distribution center is also ubiquitous, there needs to be an automatic calculation that takes a little time," he explained.
