JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) revealed that the realization of the One Price Fuel program has reached 100 percent of the specified target.

Until now, One Price Fuel has spread over 423 points throughout Indonesia.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said the selling price of One Price Fuel was set for Pertalite type fuel of IDR 10,000 per liter and IDR 6,800 per liter for Solar. Prior to this program, the price of Pertalite could even reach IDR 100,000 per liter in several places such as Puncak Regency, Papua.

"Previously in some areas, such as in Papua, the price was Rp. 100 thousand per liter, in Nunukan and in the Arfak Mountains, West Papua, the price per liter was also very high," said Arifin in a press conference in Jakarta quoted on Tuesday, January 31.

Arifin added, 423 One Price Fuel locations are spread across Indonesia. In detail, 68 locations in Sumatra, 3 locations in Java and Madura, 2 locations in Bali, 72 locations in NTB and NTT, 95 locations in Kalimantan, 45 locations in Sulawesi and 138 locations in Maluku and Papua.

This One Price Fuel Program is intended so that the selling price of Types of Special Assignment Fuel (JBKP) and the selling price of Certain Types of Fuel (JBT) are the same to remote areas of Indonesia.

"We focus on areas that need fuel whose costs are expensive to be touched by the One Price Fuel program", concluded Arifin.

The One Price Fuel Program is proof of the government's commitment to equitable access to all corners of Indonesia. This program was launched by President Joko Widodo since the end of 2016.

This is in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas and its implementing regulations, where the Government is obliged to ensure the availability and smooth distribution of fuel throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
