Ministry Of PUPR: Achievement Of PSU Housing Assistance 2022 More Than Target, This Year Is Up 27.825 Units

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Housing noted that the realization of the budget for distributing public house PSU assistance was Rp. 0.169 trillion with an achievement of 20,757 units or exceeding the target of 101.01 percent of the 20,550 units.

The Director General of Housing at the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto, said that infrastructure, facilities and utilities assistance was a stimulant for housing development actors in building low-income houses (MBR).

"In the 2023 fiscal year, PSU assistance for public houses is worth IDR 0.383 trillion, while the construction of MBR housing PSU is 27,825 units," Iwan said in a written statement, Friday, January 27.

The construction of subsidized houses and support for the development of public facilities and utilities (PSU) is the government's effort to make the One Million Houses Program a success to reduce the number of housing backlogs in Indonesia.

In addition to PSU assistance, the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR in 2023 also allocated a budget of IDR 2.022 trillion for the construction of flats as many as 5,347 units, including the budget allocation for multi year contract (MYC) 2022-2023 activities and the OPOR program (optimization, maintenance, operations, and rehabilitation) as many as 59 towers, as well as the construction workers' residences in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago as many as 22 towers.

"The achievement for flats is 3,872 units from the target of 3,998 units or 99.84 percent in 2022," said Iwan.

Furthermore, the realization of the construction of self-help houses has reached 99.80 percent or as many as 185,802 units of the target of 186,172 units.

"For 2022, the special house construction budget is IDR 1.145 trillion to build 5,770 units with an achievement of 4,359 units," said Iwan.

For this year, the construction of self-help houses is allocated Rp3.194 trillion through the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program scheme for 145,000 units, including supporting the Esktrem Poverty Management (PKE) program.

Then, in the 2023 fiscal year (TA), the construction of special houses is allocated Rp0.891 trillion for the construction of 3,362 units, including CSRP loans, 360 units of OPOR activities, and the construction of landed houses for ministerial positions in IKN (MYC 2022-2024).
