Investment Realization In Karawang Achieving IDR 37.19 Trillion Throughout 2022

JAKARTA - Investment realization that entered the Karawang Regency, West Java, throughout 2022 reached IDR 37.195 trillion or exceeded the set target.

Head of the Karawang One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP), Eka Sanatha, in Karawang, quoted from Antara, Friday, January 27, said that in 2022 the investment target in the Karawang area will reach IDR 28 trillion.

According to him, with an investment realization of IDR 37.195 trillion in 2022, it means that the achievement reaches 130 percent of the predetermined target.

For details, the investment achievement from January to December 2022 is IDR 28.854 trillion from foreign investment and investment in domestic investment of IDR 8.3 trillion.

According to the records of the Karawang DPMPTSP, from the realization of the investment, 10,495 workers have been absorbed.

Eka said that investment realization in 2022 will increase compared to the previous year or in 2021 which reached IDR 26.6 trillion.

It is said that the most foreign investment investments are currently from China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea.

Meanwhile, the sectors that are most invested in Karawang are from the transportation, warehouse and communications sectors. Then investment in housing, industrial and office areas.

He said the increase in investment in Karawang was influenced by various factors. Among other things, because Indonesia's economy began to rise after the COVID-19 pandemic

In addition, Karawang has many supports to support investments such as industrial estates and other infrastructure support facilities.

"In addition, Karawang will be used as one of the stopping sites for the high-speed train that is being built by the government," he said.

Eka hopes that the increase in investment in Karawang will continue to grow following the continued improvement of licensing services in Karawang.
