Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Disbursed The Reason For Bali To Become A Favorite Destination For Chinese Tourists: They Want To Travel In Nusa Dua And Beaches

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno explained the reason why Bali is a favorite tourist destination from China, this year. He said, as many as 210 tourists who arrived on Sunday, January 22, were dominated by the upper middle class.

Sandiaga said, Bali is a favorite destination because tourists from China want to go to the beach, such as the Nusa Dua area.

"For this inaugural flight from Shenzhen, the quality is higher and indeed they are very enthusiastic, on average they are dominated by families from the upper middle class," Sandiaga said at the Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 24.

"Of course, they want to travel in Nusa Dua and also travel on the beach, as well as some of their favorite destinations in Bali," he added.

On the same occasion, Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati added, Bali is a favorite destination for tourists from China because its home country has a large area of land, causing access to the beach to become difficult.

"Nusa Penida and Tanjung Benoa are their favorite destinations to see waves, beaches, and others," said Oka Artha.

Then, said Oka Artha, the openness of the Balinese people to Chinese tourists is also another reason. This openness cannot be separated from the cultural acculturation that has existed for a long time.

"There are many Chinese remains that have been preserved in Bali. We continue to develop many Chinese holidays in Bali, so that both humans and their culture have compatibility," he explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Ni Made Ayu Marthini said that the reason for using visas to Indonesia was considered more "friendly".

"Our visa is also considered friendly or friendly compared to several countries. Moreover, now there is an on-arrival (VoA) visa and can be electronic payment," he said.

Not only that, Made said, when he welcomed 216 tourists from China some time ago, the women wanted to enjoy spa facilities or wellness.

"They came and immediately said, 'I want to go to a spa,' said some women or ladies who were there at that time," he added.

In addition to visas and spas, food is also an attraction for Chinese tourists to choose to vacation in Bali.

For your information, as many as 210 passengers from China with Lion Air airline charter flights JT2648 arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Sunday, January 22.

The charter flight became the first flight from China to Bali after the Chinese government allowed its citizens to return to travel abroad since January 8.
