Sambangi Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources, 10 KSB Village Heads Convey Their Aspirations

A total of 10 village heads from villages around the West Sumbawa Regency Green Stone project (Jereweh District, Maluk, Sekongkang), together with community representatives who are members of the West Sumbawa Investment Care Movement Forum (FGPI) visited the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) to convey aspirations related to investment climate conditions in West Sumbawa. This visit was received by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana in Jakarta, Friday, January 20.

FGPI spokesman Leo Supardinata revealed that the spirit of audience with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources departed from the anxiety of the people who are members of the FGPI and representatives of the community in the mining circle, related to investment issues that continue to roll in West Sumbawa.

"We want to emphasize the various wild issues circulating. There are many narratives and accusations such as human rights violations to requests to close mines. After we cross-checked, everything turned out to be fine. So, it's strange if someone mentions there is a big problem related to mining companies in West Sumbawa," he said, in his statement, Saturday, January 21.

Responding to the turmoil in society, Leo hopes that the community will respond wisely. Maintaining regional conduciveness, he said, is a shared responsibility that must be maintained by all elements of society. The village heads who attended were representatives of the real community. The positive impact of the company's operations as well as various CSR programs run by the company has been felt by the community, although there are still many things that can be improved.

Meanwhile, representing the Village Head in Lingkar Tambang, Beru Village Head Jereweh District, Jauhari Effendi, emphasized that maintaining AMMAN's investment in West Sumbawa is something that must be done, because it is directly proportional to efforts to improve people's welfare.

"If we do not get space to stay in touch at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, then we 10 Village Heads in the mining circle will take action to support investment, because the information provided by community groups that voice wild issues closing mines is a form of negative activity for our society," he said.

He also emphasized that the village head in the mining circle will always support the existence of investment as a village in the ring of one mining area. When someone disturbs, let alone wants to close, the Village Government in the mining circle will take a stand.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana, at the meeting stated that his party welcomed the arrival of the people of West Sumbawa at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. According to him, all forms of information related to mining company activities are things that are always needed in order to maintain the investment climate.

"The government, in this case the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, is running straight according to existing regulations. Likewise with existing investments, of course, it is also guarded according to the applicable laws and regulations. So closing the mine is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand, because there are criteria and stages," he concluded.
