Sah! Purwono Widodo Becomes President Director Of Krakatau Steel Replaces Silmy Karim

JAKARTA - Purwono Widodo was appointed as President Director of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) replacing Silmy Karim, who was inaugurated in early January 2023 as Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

The appointment was decided at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) which was held at the Krakatau Steel Building, Wednesday, January 18.

The meeting was opened by the President Commissioner of Krakatau Steel Suhanto as the chair of the meeting. The EGMS was also attended by the Assistant Deputy for Mineral & Coal at the Ministry of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia Heri Purnomo representing the government as the shareholder of Series A Dwiwarna.

Corporate Secretary of Krakatau Steel The Main Male said the company also raised two new names in the board of directors, namely HR Director Sriyani Puspa Kinasih and Director of Business Development and Portfolio Agus Nizar Vidiansyah.

Then, two directors with new nomenclatures, namely Director of Finance and Risk Management Tardi and Director of Infrastructure and Business Supporting Djoko Muljono. The company also appointed Commissioner Isfan Fajar Satryo and Independent Commissioner Yudha Mediawan.

"We believe that the new management of Krakatau Steel can continue to improve its performance and bring Krakatau Steel to be even better," Pria told reporters, Wednesday, January 18.
