Simly Karim Became Director General Of Immigration At The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights, Krakatau Steel Holds An Extraordinary Meeting Of Shareholders On January 18, 2023

JAKARTA - Silmy Karim will leave his position as President Director of Krakatau Steel. This is because he was elected as Director General (Dirjen) of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) and will be sworn in in January 2023.

Silmy said the process of changing the board of directors of Krakatau Steel would be announced at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) which will be held on January 18, 2023.

Furthermore, Simly said the name of the prospective replacement had also been proposed to the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir.

"The name has been proposed to the Minister of SOEs and will be announced at the EGMS on January 18, 2023," he said in the public expose of Krakatau Steel, Friday, December 30.

When asked how many names have been proposed, Silmy was reluctant to explain in more detail. He only said that it was the authority of the Minister of SOEs.

"That's the authority of the SOE minister," he said.

Previously, Silmy Karim confirmed the news that he was elected as Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights

Silmy is included in the selection list along with 29 other registrants. Silmy's name is registered with the candidate for Director General of Immigration with registration number 1-013. He registered through the Non-ASN route.

"Yes, it is true (elected as Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights)," he told VOI, Monday, December 26.

Silmy admitted that he had also informed SOE Minister Erick Thohir regarding the news that he was elected as Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

"There is (communication) of course. I always report it," he said.
