JAKARTA - President Director (Director) of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk Silmy Karim was elected as Director General (Dirjen) of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham). Silmy has also confirmed the news.

Silmy said the Presidential Decree (Keppres) regarding his appointment as Director General of Immigration had been issued. Currently, said Silmy, he is just waiting for the inauguration. The inauguration will take place in January 2023.

With the election of Silmy as Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, it means that Silmy must leave his position as President Director of Krakatau Steel. Silmy said his active period as the number one person in Krakatau Steel would end when he was officially appointed as Director General of Immigration.

"Inauguration (as Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights) January 2023. (Active period as President Director of Krakatau Steel) until he is sworn in," he said when contacted by VOI, written Tuesday, December 27.
