Ancol Targets 430,000 Visitors During Christmas And New Year Holidays

JAKARTA - Head of Communications Company PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk Ariyadi Eko Nugroho targets the Ancol Tourism Area to be visited by 430 thousand during the Christmas and New Year 2023 holidays.

"From December 24, 2022, to January 8, 2023, we are targeting visits to reach 430 thousand people," said Eko, quoted from Antara, Sunday, December 25.

As for the 2023 Christmas and New Year holidays, the Ancol park and Beach areas will open from 06.00 to 24.00 WIB, Dunia Fantasi from 10.00 to 19.00 WIB, Sea World 09.00 to 16.30 WIB, Ocean Dream Samudra 09.00 to 16.30 WIB, Atlantis Water Adventures from 08.00 to 17.30 WIB, and Jakarta Bird Land from 09.00 to 16.30 WIB.

This operating hour is much longer than in 2021, where on December 31, 2021 and January 1 - 2, 2022, Ancol Taman Impian was only allowed to operate until 15.00 WIB to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In order to achieve the target of this holiday visit, Taman Impian Ancol presents various interesting events and promos that can be used by all potential visitors with the theme Ancol Wonder Fest from 17 December 2022 to 8 January 2023.

The largest Aquarium spacecraft in Indonesia, Sea World Ancol, will present various events starting December 24, 2022, including the Santa Special Divers' performance at Main Aquarium where professional divers in Santa Claus costumes feed hundreds of fish.

"In addition, there will also be a Fish Snow Ball Game held at Xmast Aquarium, magic drawing and paper craft workshops. Very interesting activities to do together with family," he added.

Ocean Dream Samudra also presents various special performances, namely the Special Underwater Show Santa & Mermaids on December 24 & 25 at the Underwater Theater and the yellow magic balloon and street magic attractions on December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023.

Mermaids are not only present in Ocean Dream Samudra, this mythological character will also swim in Atlantis Water Adventures from December 24 to January 1, 2023, completing various interesting games in Atlantis.

Ancol has also opened a new recreation unit, namely Jakarta Bird Land (JBL) which is home to hundreds of birds of various types.

During the year-end holiday week, the Ancol Arts Market held an Art Bazar titled ART FORDABLE which exhibited around 100 more works of art than 42 artists consisting of woven fabrics, batik, craft arts and paintings.

"According to the title, the artwork here is offered at an affordable price. The exhibition will last until January 5, 2023 at the NAS Gallery at the Ancol Art Market and will be open from 09.00 - 20.00 WIB," he said.
