New Pipe Block Rokan Successfully Salurkan 147,000 BOPD

PEKANBARU - Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR Pertagas Elok Riani Ariza said the Rokan oil pipeline had distributed oil owned by PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) with the highest daily average of 147,000 Barrel Oil per Day (BOPD).

"This huge distribution volume is realized through 10 segments out of a total of 13 segments of the Rokan Oil Pipe managed by PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) as the affiliate of Pertamina Gas Sub Holding," said Ariza, quoted from Antara, Sunday, December 25.

Elok said this new pipe was to replace the old pipe in line with the Rokan Block infrastructure optimization program.

Currently, Pertamina's Sub Holding Gas and Upstream Sub Holding are coordinating intensively to be able to operate all segments at the end of December 2022.

According to him, this inter-sub-holding synergy is to support the optimization of oil production and flow in the Rokan Block.

"The distribution in the Rokan oil pipeline will be carried out in stages throughout 2022 in line with the transition process from the old pipe to the new pipe (switching). Oil flow has been carried out in stages since early 2022, which is marked by the First Oil In momentum or the distribution of the first oil from Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) on February 3, 2022," he said.

Elok explained that switching is carried out in stages to ensure the smooth operation of the pipe or ensure that the transition from the old pipe to the new pipe runs safely and effectively.

In addition, the infrastructure built during this pandemic has completed its construction 100 percent since the end of 2021.

In carrying out the entire series of Rokan oil pipeline replacement projects, Pertagas always prioritizes work health safety and environmental awareness or HSSE.

"This is evidenced by the success of Pertagas which recorded 27,709,487 safe working hours during the 2014-2022 period for all projects implemented," said Elok.

With this success, Pertagas received the Patra Nirbhaya Karya Utama Adinugraha and Patra Karya Raksa Madya awards which are a form of appreciation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the achievement of safe working hours and the implementation of the Oil and Gas Work Safety and Health Management System.
