JAKARTA - Citilink Indonesia has officially operated three new routes from Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport (SAMS) Sepinggan, Balikpapan to Mamuju, Berau and Banjarmasin. The new route will start operating today (Monday, December 5).
President Director of Citilink Dewa Kadek Rai said that the opening of this new route is a form of Citilink's commitment to increasing connectivity, especially in Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

Dewa added that the opening of this new route to and from Balikpapan is expected to support the smooth development of the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) considering its strategic geographical location as an IKN buffer zone.
"The Balikpapan-Berau pp and Balikpapan-Banjarmasin pp routes will operate every day, while the Balikpapan-Mamuju pp routes will operate three times a week," he said.
