Care For Victims Of Earthquakes Cianjur, Pertamina Send Basic Food Packages And Medical Teams

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina moved quickly by distributing a number of aids for earthquake victims that occurred in the Cianjur area, West Java.

Pertamina's VP Corporate Communication Heppy Wulansari said Pertamina provided assistance in the form of 40 12 kilograms of BrightGas cylinders for cooking utensils, 68 boxes of mineral water, 10 boxes of instant noodles, two boxes of biscuits, two boxes of children's milk and 4 boxes of coffee, and 19 boxes of baby diapers (diapers).

"The assistance we have handed over is the initial stage of our quick response action for victims. We will continue to distribute aid and support according to what the community needs regarding this disaster," said Heppy in a statement to the media, Tuesday, November 22.

For basic necessities, said Heppy, at this early stage Pertamina will also distribute 466 kg of rice, 500 liters of cooking oil, 250 kg of eggs, 250 boxes of instant noodles, 250 boxes of mineral water, 255 boxes of biscuits.

Pertamina will also distribute soap and shampoo assistance for bathing and cleaning of disaster victims and 110 tarpaulins.

All of these aids are expected to arrive in Cianjur today.

The plan, continued Heppy, Pertamina will also distribute assistance in the form of medical equipment and safety, namely 105 packs of sleeping equipment (layers, blankets and tarpaulins) and 80 packs of baby equipment (popok, baby cloth and sanitary napkins).

"This is a form of concern from the Pertamina Peduli Team. We will also coordinate assistance from both the company and Pertamina officers who want to provide assistance to victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake," said Heppy.

Not only that, in the early stages of disaster response, Pertamina through PT Pertamina Bina Medika also sent a number of medical teams, ambulances and medicines for victims of the Cianjur disaster.

In fact, several doctors were prepared to temporarily serve at the disaster site.

Previously, Pertamina expressed her sorrow and support for the people of Cianjur and its surroundings after the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 on Monday, November 21.
