Budget Absorption Of Rp27.64 Billion, SMF Realizes Development Of 370 Decent Homes In 16 Locations

JAKARTA - PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero) or SMF has realized the construction of a Decent Housing (RLH) for Low-Income Communities (MBR) in the Semanggi area, Mojo Village, Surakarta. This is the result of collaboration between SMF and the Surakata City Government and the City Program (No Kumuh City) of the Cipta Karya Office, Ministry of PUPR.

SMF President Director Ananta Wiyogo said the program is a manifestation of the company's commitment as a Special Mission Vehicle (SPV) in implementing sustainable development goals or SDGs, especially in terms of sustainable urban development and settlements. He also hopes that this program can create a multiplier effect that can encourage economic growth.

In addition, said Ananta, the RLH Program in the Semanggi Region is expected to be one of the efforts to reduce slums along the river, as well as help deal with extreme poverty, by relocating residents to more decent settlements so that they can improve their standard of living.

Sumber dana SMF berasal dari APBN dan pasar modal, dan Program Kotaku ini merupakan program jangka panjang yang kami lakukan dari Sabang sampai Merauke, kami berharap masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan bantuan ini dengan sebaik-baiknya dengan terus menjaga dan menjagakan rumahnya agar dapat emmangan jangka panjang, tutur Ananta dalam keterangannya, Jumat 18 November.

SMF through its strategic initiative program, namely the House Quality Improvement Program in the Kumuh Region, built a new house for MBR in the Semanggi area. The area is a relocation area prepared by the Surakarta Regional Government for residents who previously lived in slum areas along the Bengawan Solo Pemulung River.

A total of 47 livable houses have been completed in the RW 1 area of Mojo Village which has an area of 3.72 Ha, which is part of the Semanggi area which has a total area of 15,368 Ha.

The construction of the RLH began with the signing of a cooperation agreement on December 17, 2021, between SMF, the Directorate of Settlement Area Development, the Ministry of PUPR, and the Surakarta City Government which was coordinated by the ministry of the coordinator of Human Development and Culture. This was then followed up with an intensive development process since January 25, 2022, by applying the standard of livable houses referring to the standard Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).

Through this program, SMF distributed grant assistance of IDR 3.2 billion using the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) budget which was channeled through the Community Empowerment Agency (BKM). Surakarta is the 13th city to be inaugurated, out of a total of 16 locations that have been realized in Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan to NTT.

Since 2019 until now, the Company has realized a 370 house quality improvement program in slum areas in 16 locations with a budget absorption of IDR 27.64 billion.

On this occasion, the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, felt helped by this program. "Today the houses are finished, residents have received the keys and can immediately move today, so the house can be occupied immediately, relocated," he said.

Most of the Mojo residents who make a living are not permanent, such as building workers, parking attendants, and odd workers who can now have decent and healthy housing compared to previous housing, where residents live around the Bengawan Solo Reservoir River Embankment Embankment Embankment which has caraceristics of inadequate, unhealthy settlements thatmadize along the drainage of the Bengawan Solo River embankment belt.
