Supporting The G20 Bali Summit, Bio Farma Ready To Prepare Health Needs

JAKARTA - Bio Farma as a Pharmaceutical State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) is ready to support the G20 Presidency. This state-owned company is in the second layer in handling health services during the event. Director of Transformation and Digital PT Bio Farma (Persero) Soleh Ayudi explained that Bio Farma was part of the readiness of the Indonesian government in the G20 Presidency. "The role of BioFarma during the G20 implementation was that we were part of the previous health readiness together with pharmacies, clinics, hospitals owned by BUMN, both Kimia Farma and IHC, we were prepared to serve health needs," he said Tuesday, November 8. Furthermore, Ayudi explained that for the health services of the head of the G20 guest country, Bio Farma was in the second layer. This is because the first layer has been filled by the presidential team. "But we are usually on layer two, the first layer is that each presidential team is alone. We support it in the second layer. The same is true for non-counter leaders," he said. Previously reported, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said Indonesia also established the health sector as one of the main focuses in organizing the G20 Presidency. Erick said, the issue of equitable distribution of vaccines to technology transfers must be a priority in overcoming the problems of the health sector, such as when a pandemic occurs. The health sector has a big impact in other sectors such as economy, education, and social. Therefore, SOEs also make health a part of the economic ecosystem, education, and technology that is being built by SOEs. "Because when we talk about health, we don't just talk about health activities, but we also talk about economy, education, social and others," said Erick Thohir.
