YOGYAKARTA - Recently SKK Migas and KKKS tried to increase oil and gas production with exploration efforts. KKKS, Sele Raya Belida, even found oil and gas reserves in South Sumatra through drilling the South Wine River-1 (SAS-1) well in Melilian Gelumbang Village, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.

From the results of drilling, it was found that the oil content was 1983 BOPD and 1.3 MMSCFD gas with a tube pressure of 150 psi.

Head of SKK Migas representative for South Sumatra, Anggono Mahendrawan, said there was a possibility that there would be additional drilling production to cover 2000 oil BOPDs because the pressure of the tugs still increased to 600 psi.

"We have checked and Celebrity has been running the flowrate for 1 hour for the SAS-1 test area and the condition is really good," said Anggono in a press release recently.

Currently the KKKS Sele Raya with the support of the SKK Migas Operations Division Representative for South Sumatra is running the MIT (Modified Isochronal Test) to recognize the flowrate and development of the SAS-1 well. Next week until the end of November, SKK Migas and Sele Raya Belida will carry out pre-forationation or holeing of the cement layer and want to find even better reserves.

"We are grateful for the support of the regional government, TNI, Polri, and stakeholder officers who have helped so that oil and gas were found in this area," added Anggono.

Meanwhile, Head of the Sumurboration and Maintenance Operations Division, Surya Widyantoro, said that the discovery of oil and gas through the SAS-1 well at the Muara Enim Regency Gelumbang was a breath of fresh air for the upstream oil and gas industry to continue to carry out massive, aggressive and efficient tracing.

"The discovery of oil and gas by the KKKS Sele Raya Belinda is one proof that this industry is really concerned about increasing national oil and gas production by carrying out exploration," said Surya.

Surya added that this discovery could be an encouragement for oil and gas industry workers and other KKKS to continue to carry out oil and gas exploration and exploitation in order to pursue the target of 1 million barrels of oil and 12 billion oil palm oil by 2030.

"Congratulations to Sele Raya and hopefully it can be imitated by other KKKS who are currently still carrying out exploration," said Surya.

The drilling of the exploration well of the South Wine River-1 (SAS-1) has been running since May 2022, the drilling site is located in a border area between Melilian Village, Gelumbang District, and Tapus Village, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.
