Joining China International Import Expo, 49 Indonesian Companies Show Agricultural Superior Products

SHANGHAI - Indonesia carries superior agricultural products at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on November 5-10, 2022.

In the annual event which was held for the fifth time at the Shanghai National Exhibition Center and Convention Center, Indonesia established a 100 square meter platform.

There are food, drinks, and handicrafts as well as agricultural superior products, such as coffee, spices, swallow's nest, and fresh fruit displayed at the Indonesian Pavilion with an open gallery concept.

In the midst of pavilions with red-and-white nuances, there are minibars that are used for the promotion of various types, both online and offline, including the practice of mixing coffee.

The Indonesian Consul General in Shanghai, Deny Kurnia, said that there were 49 Indonesian companies, most of which were small and medium scale, which also enlivened the exhibitions which were attended by the 145 countries.

According to him, Indonesia's exports to China throughout 2021 increased by 70 percent.

During the January-October 2022 period, Indonesia experienced an increase in exports to China by 31.32 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

"Moreover, ahead of the G20 Summit which will be attended by President Xi Jinping, this exhibition will encourage the interest of the Chinese people to buy Indonesian products," said Deny Kurnia.
