JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) stated that the world ecosystem of the network is already running to overcome dependence on fossil energy and Indonesia has the capability with the available area of land.

Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) Dadan Kusdiana said the supply of Nabati Fuel (BBN) for biodiesel was sufficient.

"(Our BBN supply) is now 16.3 million kilo liters (kl), if B40 needs 15 million Kl. So don't worry, we will enter two new factories at the beginning of next year," Dadan said in a statement to the media quoted on Friday, November 4.

Dadan further revealed that currently the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has completed a road test using B40 fuel on diesel-engine vehicles.

After this, the Government will issue technical recommendations for the implementation of the B40 policy and can be implemented immediately. The use of BBN, especially biodiesel, is expected as a strategic effort to reduce imports of fuel oil (BBM) as well as increase the mix of new and renewable energy in Indonesia.

Dadan detailed, of the remaining 50,000 Km 6,000 Km and when it is finished, the final conclusion of the test results will be the reference.

"The B40 ROad Test remaining 6,000 km. So the final results for the first vehicle will be able to be obtained in the next two weeks. The final results," said Dadan.

Previously, we followed the rules every 10,000 Km change. So we want to know when it actually expired. So it was 22,000 Km or 23,000 Km. So it has been proven that there is no blocking. In addition to technical preparation in vehicle engines to be applied as fuel for B40, the government will also ensure the availability of infrastructure from Pertamina and other business entities related to the blending facility to meet the needs or not.
