Before Beingrik By Other Countries, The Local Drone Industry Hopes To Be Utilized By The Government

JAKARTA - Domestic defense equipment industry must be able to take advantage of modern technology or new findings created by the offices of the Ministry of Industry. This matchmaking effort is believed to spur the competitiveness of the national defense equipment industry so that its products are accepted in the global market.

One example, the Ministry of Industry facilitates the Association of unmanned Technology Systems (ASTTA) to appear at the Indo Defense 2022 event, to introduce various domestic drone products that can support the national defense and security sector.

Moreover, currently defense drone technology is a topic that is increasingly being discussed since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In addition, more and more countries are starting to be interested in the effectiveness of drone technology that has been proven on the battlefield. In Indonesia itself, there are several drone manufacturing companies that are able to develop the technology and are members of ASTTA.

"With the findings of this product technology, we are optimistic that the performance of the defense industry will be stronger so that it can contribute significantly to national economic growth and support import substitution policies," said the Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics Industry (ILMATE) of the Ministry of Industry Taufiek Bawzier in Jakarta, Friday, November 4.

ASTTA is one of the modern technologies facilitated by the Ministry of Industry to appear in IndoDefence 2022.

ASTTA Chairman Dian Rusdiana Hakim appreciates the Ministry of Industry's efforts to promote the capabilities of the local drone industry through various international exhibitions, such as IndoDefence.

"I hope the ability of the local drone industry is used more by the government to maintain Indonesia's own defense, before being glimpsed by other countries," he said.

According to Dian, more and more countries are starting to be interested in the effectiveness of drone technology that has been proven on the battlefield.

"In Indonesia, there are several drone manufacturing companies that are able to develop this technology and have joined ASTTA," he said.
