Schneider Electric, the leader of digital transformation in energy management and automation, today, Wednesday 2 November will host the 2022 Jakarta Summit Innovation with the theme "Innovation for Sustainable Indonesia" which is part of the 2022 Innovation Summit World Tour. In its two-day implementation, Innovation Summit Jakarta discussed steps to address global climate challenges and provide insights to customers, partners, regulators, and policymakers on ways to quickly reduce emissions to decarbonize the economy.

Manish Pant, East Asia & Japan Zone President Schneider Electric stressed the importance of immediately switching to electrification and digitization.
"Our energy system is currently highly carbonized, consuming about 150,000 TWh of energy annually, with 80% of which comes from fossil fuels (oil, natural gas, coal). Currently, energy represents about 80 percent of total CO2 emissions, fossil fuel reserves are not evenly distributed throughout the world, and it is highly inefficient if 60 percent of extracted fossil fuels are wasted. These problems continue to create imbalance and great risks for our planet," said Manish.

In Jakarta's 2022 Innovation Summit, Schneider Electric announced a number of the company's latest innovations and initiatives in supporting and encouraging the acceleration of the realization of the sustainability of its customers and partners, including:
- SM AirSet: Modular air-insulating switchgear innovation for MV secondary distribution installations in the building sector and commercial and industrial utilities, without using SF6, harmful greenhouse gases. SM AirSeT is the latest green and digital solution that utilizes pure water, enabling industry and utilities to reduce their environmental impact and optimize maintenance and operations.
- EcoStruxure Automation Expert 22.1, the latest release of the world's first software-centric industrial automation system, is further integrated with the AVEVA System Platform so that users can design graphs with Operations Management Interface and access AVEVA's asset list based on applicable standardizations. Designing AVEVA graphics and control apps in the same environment reduce engineering efforts by nearly 50 percent, minimize training times, and eliminate quality problems.

The Sustainability Impact Award in Indonesia will premiere on the second day of Jakarta's Innovation Summit.
- University Student Talkshow program with the theme Career Opportunities in the Green Industry Era, which aims to encourage active participation from the younger generation and prepare them to pursue careers in the green industry era.
