21 National Strategic Projects Must Compleate Before 2024, Anything?

YOGYAKARTA - The government is speeding up all National Strategic Projects (PSN) and Non-PSN so that they can be completed in October 2024.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono conveyed this at the Coordination Meeting for the Integrated Development of Regional Infrastructure (Rakorangwil) on Monday (31/10).

"The message in particular is that all PSN and Non-PSN work must be completed in the first semester of 2024," said Minister Basuki.

The completion of the National Strategic Project before 2024 is a directive from President Joko Widodo. The project completion target can also be one of the criteria for the preparation of the Ministry of PUPR program in the next government period.

"In 2023-2024, in the last two years from this Advanced Cabinet, we from PUPR, the special message (President Jokowi) is that all PSN and non- PSN work must be completed in the first semester of 2024", said Basuki.

Basuki said that his party would selectively complete the project in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 120 of 2022 concerning Special Assignments in the Context of Accelerating the Implementation of Infrastructure Development.

Here are 21 scopes of infrastructure work that are included in the special assignment for accelerating development in the Presidential Regulation:

In carrying out the special assignments mentioned above, the Ministry of PUPR coordinated with several parties, including:

related to the acceleration of the implementation of infrastructure development as stated in the Presidential Decree.

President Jokowi instructed that infrastructure development should be a priority in the development of the 2023-2024 period. The Ministry of PUPR ensures that it will be selective in building infrastructure that has added value to its function and solving regional problems (ck wins).

Minister Basuki also said the government would not build a new dam in that period. His party will focus on working on the construction of 61 dams and using the dams that have been completed to support the supply of drinking water.

That is the National Strategic Project which must be completed before 2024 or the fall of the Jokowi government. In addition to working on development, the Ministry of PUPR also carries out maintenance operations and optimization of infrastructure development in order to benefit the community according to priority programs in 2024, namely populist infrastructure.
