The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Completed 100 Percent Of The BPBL Program In Bangka Belitung

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has completed 100 percent of the Electricity New Installation Assistance program in Bangka Belitung Province. A total of 103 beneficiary households in the province are all on.

"As of October 28, 2022, 103 households have been connected in Bangka Belitung Province. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PLN have completed the completion of the overall electricity connection for Bangka Belitung province," said the Director of Electricity Program Development, Directorate General of Electricity, Wanhar in an official statement, Saturday, October 29.

Wanhar explained that this assistance is a Government program aimed at underprivileged communities through the State Budget of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources which is supported by Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) with an assignment to PT PLN (Persero). It is targeted that as many as 80,000 households will be targeted for this program throughout Indonesia.

On the same occasion, Member of Commission VII DPR RI Bambang Patijaya said the BPBL program was one of the priority programs that received serious attention from Commission VII DPR RI because it had a direct impact on all levels of society, especially those who were less fortunate.

"Hopefully this BPBL program will encourage us to increase the economic welfare of the community," he said. He thanked and appreciated the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for paying attention and concern to the people of Central Bangka Regency.

"Next year there will be 83,000 connections, the technical issues will be arranged again. People who have not been electrified, hopefully next year they will get and enjoy electricity," he said.

Senior Specialist of Retail Management and Commerce of PT PLN (Persero) Ismail Deu said that through this BPBL program, people can immediately enjoy PLN electricity through the government budget.

"It is hoped that it will improve the welfare of the community and the economy will improve. The BPBL program is also installed 100% per day, October 28, 2022," said Ismail.

In line with Bambang Patijaya, the Regent of Central Bangka, Algafry Rahman, specifically expressed his appreciation for the assistance of BPBL to the people in Central Bangka.

"We are happy with the assistance of connecting electricity to the community. What is given, we will protect and sustain," said Algafry.

He further said that in Central Bangka there are still people on Nangka Island who have not been electrified 24 hours. He hopes to pay attention to how access to sustainable electricity for the island of Nangka.
