JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has reached an agreement with the North Sumatra Regional Development Bank (Bank Sumut) regarding the provision of digital ecosystem services.

EVP Telkom's Enterprise Service Division, Teuku Muda Nanta, said that in this collaboration, his party provided access to the Agree platform which includes piloting implementation, provision of guidelines, and operational implementation and maintenance of the platform.

"In this case, Bank Sumut is expected to benefit from supporting business and supporting the development of the agricultural ecosystem in the future," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, October 26.

According to Nanta, managed access is very likely to make Bank Sumut to expand the digitally connected MSME market starting from upstream, the production process, downstream.

"The digitalization trend is believed to be able to increase customer experience and Telkom is ready to support Bank Sumut's mutually beneficial steps in supporting the efforts of both parties," he said.

On the same occasion, the President Director of Bank Sumut Rahmat Fadillah Pohan stated that the synergy that was built was carried out in line with the company's commitment to boost the economy of North Sumatra.

He said, Bank Sumut is targeting the agricultural sector and is trying to improve the welfare of farmers through financing people's business loans (KUR).

"Utilization of technology for KUR financing is expected to grow millennial farmers, increase literacy access, and financial inclusion and increase the competitiveness of agricultural products in North Sumatra," said Rahmat.
