Capai Regional Tax Revenue IDR 213.4 Trillion, Sri Mulyani: Community Activities Starting To Recover From Pandemic

JAKARTA Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that tax revenues in the regions continue to show an increase from time to time. According to her, this condition is an important signal of the economic recovery process that has occurred in various regions.

The Minister of Finance said that until the end of September 2022 local tax revenues grew 49.1 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp213.4 trillion.

Likewise, regional levies rose 9.6 percent to IDR 5.9 trillion, Regional Property Management (PKD) which was separated shot up 25.5 percent to IDR 10.3 trillion, and Regional Original Income (PAD) others grew 16.9 percent to IDR 50 trillion.

"This means that various community activities have begun to recover from the shocks caused by the pandemic and have contributed to the economy which can be seen from job opportunities and from the income side of the community," he said at a press conference on our State Budget, quoted on Tuesday, October 25.

According to the Minister of Finance, there are five types of highest regional tax growth, namely hotel taxes, entertainment taxes, restaurant taxes, parker taxes, and revenues sourced from transfer fees for motorized vehicles.

Meanwhile, most of the levies are supported by recreation and sports areas, water crossings, inns or villas, parking special places, as well as fire extinguisher checks.

The increase in regional tax and levy performance is in line with the performance of tax improvements at the center. This is a reflection of people's economic activity which is getting better," he stressed.

On this occasion, the Minister of Finance also explained that state revenues until the third quarter of 2022 posted Rp1,974.7 trillion.

This figure consists of tax revenues which grew 54.2 percent yoy to Rp1,310.5 trillion.

Then customs and excise collected revenues of Rp232.1 trillion with growth of 26.9 percent. Furthermore, non-tax state revenue (PNBP) is known to have collected Rp431.5 trillion or grew 34.4 percent.

As for state expenditures, it is known that it was IDR 1,913.9 trillion until the end of last September. This result makes the APBN posture experience a surplus of IDR 60.9 trillion.
