JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) installed a non-trafficking toll payment system sensor pole or Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) S Toll Road. Head of BPJT of the Ministry of PUPR, Danang Parikesit, said that the implementation of the MLFF system will be carried out in stages on several toll roads. As for which sections will be tested, it is still in the discussion stage. "For the initial stage, the implementation starts with a transition period on several toll roads, where some substations at each toll gate can still use electronic toll cards," said Danang in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 24. The government's plan to implement an application-based contactless non-cash toll payment system has entered a new chapter. The first installation of the MLFF sensor pole has been carried out at the Jagorawi Toll Road KM 18+370 towards Ciawi on 19-20 October 2022, then at the JORR S Toll Road KM33+635 on Sunday (23/10) until Monday. PT Hutama Karya (Persero) as the operator of the JORR S Toll Road has coordinated with BPJT and PT Rotax Indonesia Toll System (RITS) as MLFF implementers to ensure the work runs smoothly and safely. With the implementation of the MLFF, the toll road will completely become a freeway or there will be no more barriers at toll gates. Traffic on toll roads will be monitored with the support of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology. This Gantry works by identifying all passing vehicles, then sending data to the center. In addition, monitoring vehicles will also be randomly placed on toll roads. If there is a violation, the central system will inform violators to pay. If this is not fulfilled, the central system will inform the violator's data to take action according to the law.
